HISTORY OF THE FEDERATION

  • NOVEMBER 21-25, 1993

The 1st National Thang-Ta Championship organised by the Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Academy and Thang-Ta Federation of India at Imphal, Manipur with the participation more than 300 nos. Thang-Ta players from different states of India.

  • NOVEMBER 21, 1993

The Thang-Ta Federation of India was formally established at the Meeting held at Imphal, Manipur with the presence of 14 nos. of state representatives and elected Mr. H. Premkumar Singh as President of the Federation.

  • DECEMBER 1, 1993

The Office of the Thang-Ta Federation of India was placed at 3132-A, Arya Pura, Delhi -7.

  • JANUARY 1, 1994

The Administrative Office of the Thang-Ta Federation of India was placed at Yumnam Huidrom, Imphal, Manipur and started functioning.

  • FEBRUARY 29, 1999

Thang-Ta Federation of India had demonstrated Thang-Ta Martial Arts Game during the Vth National Games held at Imphal, Manipur under the auspicious of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).

  • DECEMBER 26, 2003

Shri H. Premkumar Singh, President of the Federation visited to Sylhet, Bangladesh to form Thang-Ta Federation of Baladesh and to strengthen Indo-Bangla friend relationship through Thang-Ta martial arts and given the Thang-Ta martial arts training to the youths of Bangladesh.

Thang-Ta Federation of India had approved prominent sports persons from different states of India as member of the Federation.

  • DECEMBER 12, 2006

Thang-Ta Federation of India was recognised by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) in its Annual General Body Meeting.

  • APRIL 22, 2010

Shri H. Premkumar Singh, President of the Federation revisited to Sylhet, Bangladesh to give Thang-Ta martial arts training to the youths of Bangladesh.

  • FEBRUARY, 2010

Shri H. Premkumar Singh, President of the Federation visited to Malaysia for expanding Thang-Ta family and given the Thang-Ta martial arts training to the youths of Malaysia.

  • NOVEMBER 1 - 3, 2010

Thang-Ta Federation of India had organised 1st International Thang-Ta Referee Seminar and Thang-Ta Coaching Camp at Chhoturam Dharamsala, Rohtak, Haryana.

  • JANUARY 7 - 9, 2011

Thang-Ta Federation of India had organised 1st Thang-Ta Federation Cup at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Bhawana, Delhi. Respected Shri Satpal Singh, President, School Games Federation of India was present as Chief Guest. Federation had insisted to the President for recognising the Thang-Ta Game.

  • MARCH 11 - 14, 2011

Thang-Ta Federation of India organised 1st World Thang-Ta Championship under the World Thang-Ta Federation (WTTF) at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, Imphal, Manipur with the participation of competitors from five (5) countries Malaysia, U.K., Bangladesh, Nepal and host Inda.

Shri H. Premkumar Singh, President of the Federation revisited to Sylhet, Bangladesh to strengthen Indo-Bangla friend relationship through Thang-Ta martial arts and given the Thang-Ta martial arts training to the youths of Bangladesh.

SCHOOL GAME FEDERATION OF INDIA had recognised and approved the Thang-Ta Martial Arts in its Executive Committee & General Council Meeting held at the Conference Hall, Mandovi Hotel, Panaji, Goa.

  • DECEMBER 14 - 19, 2011

Thang-Ta martial arts was first staged in the 57th National School Games (Thang-Ta under 19 years boys and girls). 67 boys and 47 girls players from 13 states of India competed in respective nine (9) weight groups.

  • FEBRUARY 12, 2012

President visited to Colombo, Srilanka for expanding Thang-Ta family and given the Thang-Ta martial arts training to the youths of Srilanka.

Shri H. Premkumar Singh, President of the Federation and Shri H. Dinachandra Singh, Secretary of the Federation attended the Thang-Ta Workshop organised by the Srilanka Thang-Ta Federation from 8 to 11 June 2012.

Demonstrated Thang-Ta Martial Art to the World Martial Arts Festival 3rd Edition held at Kish Island, Iran from 18 to 22 October 2012 organised by I.R. Iran Martial Arts Festival Federation.

  • 23-24 April 2013

Organised 1st Asian Youth, 1st Asian Sub-jr. & 2nd Asian Thang-Ta Championship 2013 at Jharkhand successfuly.

  • 5 September 2013

Federation attended the The 12th World Martial Arts Union General Meeting at Chungju, South Korea.

  • 6-10 September 2013

Demonstrated Thang-Ta Martial Art to the 2013 Chungju World Martial Arts Festival held at Chungju, South Korea and participated to the 1st International Thang-Ta Championship 2013 at Chungju, South Korea.

  • 17-20 December 2013

Organised International Thang-Ta Referee Seminar & Coaches' Course 2014 at Imphal, Manipur.
